A Hidden Gem.

I love brunches (and naps!). But honestly, a good brunch is so much more than just the food, it’s the atmosphere, the calming vibes, the freshness, and the positive experience. Even if I’m having the brunch alone, or with a friend, I always enjoy it thoroughly.

Keeping in mind my divine love for brunches, I’m always looking for places that just hit the spot. I can still say that the best brunch I’ve ever had in my life was in a cafe in Brighton. But in this article, I’ll be talking about my favourite brunch spot in London.

Bonjour Brioche

Located: 88 Quicks Rd, London SW19 1EX
Nearest Tube Station: South Wimbledon (Northern Line)
Price Range: ££

This place was a random discovery. I googled for places to grab breakfast in Wimbledon, and was flooded with recommendations. This one just seemed simple, casual and aesthetic. I decided to give it a go. And that was perhaps one of the best decisions I made! This place is an absolute gem, and I cannot recommend it enough.

They have so many brunch options that even though we’ve been here a fair few times now, we still haven’t tried all the dishes. I just want to take out a minute to praise their poached eggs. Absolute perfection. 10/10 and a 5 star rating. They cannot make them any more perfect.

My favourite on their menu: The Chorizo Avocado. Perfectly grilled chorizo, on sourdough bread. Smashed avocado with 2 curiously perfect poached eggs. Some grilled cherry tomatoes with butter and a wedge of lemon. It just can’t disappoint!

My unusual favourite: their Melted Gruyère brunch. This one’s comes with gorgeous melted Gruyère cheese with preached eggs, and pesto sauce. It is so unusual but tastes like a symphony of flavours in my mouth.

Honourable Mentions:

  • Their Boston Beans breakfast that comes with a massive bowl of beans with chorizo, eggs, and bacon mixed in, along with bread for dipping.
  • Their Halloumi Avocado breakfast with massive pieces of halloumi and avocado, combined with poached eggs and bread! Delightful!

Coffees, Juices and Smoothies!

Another reason why I love this place is because they have the tastiest Smoothies, freshly made Fruit Juices, lemonades, and great quality coffees.

I always make it a point to get a tropical juice, or a hot Vanilla Latte to go with my meal. It’s so refreshing and compliments the brunch quite well! They also do good americanos and a very good lemonade that is made with just freshly squeezed apple and lemon juice!

My Final Thoughts:

This place is cosy, has amazing food (perhaps the best poached eggs ever) and great refreshing drinks. It’s my #1 brunch spot in London and I’m grateful to have found this place hidden among the lanes of Wimbledon. I’ll be visiting again (and again and again) to try all the options on their menu and even sample some of the sweet baked goods that they have on display.

Location: by Author through Google Maps.

This is a must visit! :)
