My Recent Favourite

I love working in Coffee Shops. They are calm, cosy and give a very nice working environment. Recently I’ve been spending my entire days working from coffee shops, and while the usual suspects like Starbucks or Costa are great, I also like to support smaller businesses and lesser known coffee shops which I think deserve our attention more. I’ve found such a coffee shop in Wimbledon and wanted to dedicate this article to it!

Bliss Coffee

Where: 264 The Broadway, London SW19 1SB
Nearest Tube Station: South Wimbledon (Northern Line)
Best For: Coffee, Baked Goods, Sandwiches and Toasties, Work Vibes.

If there is a place that makes the best Pain au Chocolat, Choco chip cookies, or the tastiest sourdough sandwiches, it’s this place. I’ve spent many work days at this small coffee shop and it has the most immaculate vibes. The place is cosy, quiet, with the faint sound of radio in the background. It’s run by a kind man who has sometimes offered us some leftover sourdough to take home as well. I cannot praise this place enough.

They have a variety of sourdough sandwiches, from veggie options which includes a delicious Truffle Mushroom & Cheese Toastie, and an Onion Chutney one, to more classic options like Ham & Cheese, Tuna, or Bacon & Brie. The sandwiches are grilled on order and have fresh ingredients, with crunchy sourdough.

The part that stands out the most for me are the freshly baked goods. They always have the freshest looking pain au chocolat and croissants. I’ve tried their mandarin and chocolate cake and it was so divine. They have a selection of cakes, pastries, and snacks. I’ve always seen new things there when I go, Flapjacks with Pecan Nuts, Bakewell Tart slice, Beetroot cake, Cinnamon swirls, Chocolate Swirls and so much more! And I can affirm these are high quality bakes goods!

I love this place, and will keep coming for as long as I can. The fact that this blog was written and edited in Bliss Coffee, while I sip my Oat Latte, Pain Au Chocolat, and my Ham & Cheese Toastie is enough proof that this place is my favourite coffee shop to have a cosy work-from-home day. P.S. the super fast internet is a big plus too!!
